Hello
I've got an project in mind of capturing family portraits on 8x10 slide film. Having looked on the world wide web it and no many places do it
https://www.the-darkroom.co.uk/prod...ocessing/455-e6-8x10-sheet-film-develop-only- ( at £20 a sheet thats almost £400 total for one pack of film)
Does anyone else know a service that provides 8x10 e6
Next option is to self develop which I do with Black and white often with no issue. 1 pack of cinestill e6 is £40 which would do a whole pack of 8x10 and I need to purchase some equipment upfront
1. Jobo tank with manual or cheap motor system - Will the chemicals stay warm long enough once up to temp
2. Tray develop - again how to keep chems at temp
3. Stearman press 8x10 day light tank - similar to tray
4. Jobo CPA2 - wait for a cheap on to come along on ebay. I can use a single sheet tank or the expert that can take 5 8x10s
This will likely be a one off project so I am trying to balance consistency of the lab dev along with DIY its risks and making my money back
I cant imagine going over 50 sheets total so it may be best to just invest in the lab
Thoughts/ideas
Thanks!
