82mm W/A holder not fitting Tokina 11-20 lens

Any one else have trouble with Lee 82mm W/A adapter ring on their Tokina 11-20mm Lens
Fitting is 82mm but the outer part of the lens, that would hold the hod on is maybe 1mm to big.
So the adapter ring wont screw on, anyone any solutions.

There isn't a step up ring fitted by any chance?

Only two options that I can think of are to either try a standard 82mm Lee adaptor which doesn't have the return so would fit but may cause vignetting of course. Other suggestion would be to get in touch with Filterdude and see if their adaptors might offer more clearance.

After I replied this morning it did occur too, as a last resort at least, that there may just be enough meat on the adaptor to machine it back a tiny bit. Couldn't say without it in front of me but I suspect if there isn't, then a filterdude one isn't going to help as it would have the same issue by virtue of having the same size constraints.

Yes could file the part of the lens but i will try the standard one first.
