You will get two answers:
1. They are fine and you have been unlucky
2. Stop being cheap and just buy a decent bag with credibility- usually reflected in price
I'm in camp no2. I entrust my life to some of the gear I buy and I carry the mantra of do it right through to every purchase.
I find that way I'm never thinking will it work, will it last, is it sharp etc etc.
Means I spend a lot less time worrying about the wrong things and save time and money by not mucking about with postage/ suppliers over problems. Very good way of justifying paying for good kit to yourself/other half![]()

No surprise that a 15 quid rucksack isn't as good quality wise as one costing five times the price.
Admittedly it has split on a seam, but looks like it would still protect the contents ok
Not saying you should get another one and I too have a somewhat more expensive rucksack, but perhaps getting an overly bad press for the price that was paid
I carry 12K worth of gear round, im not going to entrust it to a £15 pile of crap
With bags you do get what you pay for, for shooting pitchside and in extreme weather i entrust all my gear to top of the range Kata bags with crush proof protection, for day to day photography, holidays, walking etc when im taking less gear i use Crumplers, im a bit of a bag nerd, ive just sold off some of my unused Kata bags but ive still got 4 Katas and 7 Crumplers, im a bitI'm sure the OP wouldn't have bought the bag if he could afford the kit you have!
FWIW I have a Jessops Trek 2 backpack and I think it's superb value for money. However, I only have a couple of hundred pounds worth of second hand film cameras and equipment so I cetainly wouldn't buy a bag costing more than the kit.
