7D Raw files....

Hi,
Done a quick search but to no joy...

I have Photoshop Elements 7 and a Canon 7D. When I go to load the RAW files taken from the 7D, they do not load. Anyone know if I need to get a codec for them to work???

probably need to download the most up to date version of Adobe Camera Raw from Adobe website.

sadly adobe won't provide support for newer camera models outside of CS4 age programs.

You can download adobe lightroom 3 beta for free though, and that will open them. Otherwise you'll nee to use the canon raw converter before opening them in PS

cheers for the replies. anyone know if elements 8 supports the 7d?? like elements and not wanting to move from it lol

50d files open in elements 6 without any extra downloads. I assume RAW files from 50 and 7d will be same format, so I cant see why 7 wouldnt open them.

spot on the update includes the 7d and the 1d mk4

Elements 7 Does work with the 7D, last version of adobe raw worked (no listed support) new listed, was a b****r to download though, PM me your email and I'll send the latest Adobe Raw to you to install.
