Yes
So for my £1000 budget i can get various differnt 70-200 f2.8 lenses.
after much reading as we expect the canon wins everytime but i cant find a test of the canon 70-200 f2.8 is mark 1 vs the new sigma 70-200os lens!
They both come in at the £1000 mark however the canon is older and more importantly second hand, as for the sigma brand new from decent places rather then ebay!
So which would you go for? im guessing its canon everyone will say i just want to confirm what i should do!
New sigma vs older 2nd hand canon! much help needed either way i know im getting something ill be happy with!

These lenses would be placed on my Canon 5d mark 2!
thanks for the help guys and sorry for another which lens question!

Saying all this do i even need is? i doubt it from the high iso range and quality of the 5d mark2

Yeah ive read that, not as good as the canon but still they are good!
I think ive settled on the non os version of the sigma at £550ish its a bargain and i could do with the spare money! I hope im not let down but before the 5d i had a d80 with a tamron super zoom! so anything is going to make that look stupid!

I've said in many other threads here how much I like my Sigma 70-200 2.8 EX HSM II.

Very nice lens, massive bang per buck!
