I've had an old canon 650 film for a while, it used to work fine, but the battery ran low, so I have bought a replacement however there are no signs of life at all! Not even the battery check. There is a half used film still in there. Due to the 650d being launched, I can't find any useful help on the net, please advise if you can!
Cheers

Hi Nick, just type into Google Canon 650 Film Camera.

You can get the manual for it here if you do not already have one,

I had a similar problem years ago, replaced the battery and no life. In my case it was simply the tension on the battery contacts was poor, I put a sliver of cardboard from the battery pack under the battery and closed the latch on it, it worked. Make sure the battery contacts are clean, they can tarnish over time.

John:)
