Are all film holders the same?

I believe that calumet cc 400 needs "standard" film holders, What are they?

Your Calumet has an International back, son any modern 5x4 DDS film holders will fit. Just be aware that modern Fidelity 9x12cm DDS are the same outside dimensions the moulding says 4x8 but are printed 9x12 in the centre.

DDS just means double dark slides, two sided. The convention is loaded and unexposed the tab facing outwards is white/silver, and when exposed you re-insert the dark slide with the black side of the tab facing out.

Toyo and Fidelity are the best.

Just occasionally one or two eBay sellers these incorrectly. It's more common with 7x5 and Half plate.

Yes, I bought a pair of 5x7 holders from a dealer and one of them turned out to be half plate. I don't know how they got them mixed up as they were both marked with their correct sizes. Anyway, the rogue holder was replaced without question.

I won't name the rogue dealer who sold 2 half plate holders to a friend as 7x5, they were exchanged, But he had an "Excellent" MPP MkVII on eBay 18 months ago with a broken casting used to adjust and lock front tilt. An MPP with a missing part which he doesn't mention, and it's listed as the wrong model.
