I thought i would have a go testing twixtor and slowing some footage down. It was shot a while ago so not the perfect piece of footage but it shows what (at a very basic level) twixtor can do.

Just started a Vimeo account so I think this should work alright.

Wow twixtor is amazing! I've never seen anything like that before apart from slightly similar things in the tv program Smallville.

Nice work Richard, and nice use of model, i think my money would be on cs5,

Mark.

That's very cool - might have to have a play with this. Another thread which could go in the video forum (if there was one) :)

Looked to me like CS5 dropped fewer frames @25% than twixtor, there were fewer 'weird arm' moments to me...

Very interesting comparison, to my eye's it looks like cs5 seems smoother especially when she lifts her leg, have you tried it on the 720p 60fps mode?

There is no 720p 60fps mode.

If I was to reshoot I will try and a much higher shutter speed like 1/1000 to avoid any blur and see if it makes a differents.

+1 to the video forum ;)

Well im a bit slow because i thought the thing being tested was twixtor and that CS5 was just un processed footage. So i guess my opinion is that CS5 look far more natural but jerkier, and Twixtor was unnatural looking but silky, good for movie FX.

Higher shutter speed should help tremendously in my uneducated opinion.
