Firstly, the price seems to be dropping slowly like £20 a week. Do you think it's worth buying now or keep on waiting? Or are the prices starting to stabalise.

What's the cheapest UK stock price at the moment and the cheapest import price? I take it imports aren't valid for UK waranty or does it depend on which country its sourced?

What's your opinon on getting an import camera? I usually do it with lenses but cameras a little more fault prone.

The price gap between imports and UK camera is still a few hundred quid.

I'm all for supporting home grown business but at that price level I'd expect them to cook for me for a couple of months to make up the difference.

I think Panamoz with a bank transfer is under two grand for an imported body. There might be cheaper out there now. Mathers does a UK one for £2469.

All the reputable importers will offer their own warranty. I've read of Canon honouring work on imported bodies sometimes but that's not their official policy.

isn't the recent price drop due to the current exchange rate

Not sure how far it will drop to be honest as I believe the 6D will do a lot to keep the price up.

That is almost enough to make me sell up and switch to canon.
