:plusone: Excellent suggestion, it seems to be getting posted later and later as the weeks go on.

Yeah, every monday i'm always yawning in work, after waiting up for the theme! I agree, great idea, If simon can do this

I am sure Simon has other things to do before sorting out the theme (or at least that's what he'll tell us )

However, I would like to see the theme put into a single thread that is updated each week. That way we can just subscribe to that thread and get emailed when it is updated.

Andy

But then we'll get emailed every time someone posts "come on, when's the next theme coming?" :D

:tumbleweed:

Right, it's 24 minutes to tomorrow, in MY time zone......... if you cannot get the theme up by 8pm, then pass the bag to someone who can......;)

PM me for details of address to pass the bag to.....:shake::shrug:

Why can't the theme for each week be decided at the start of the year for every week of the 52?

A pre-defined list would prevent the need for going back to the thread and trawling through posts to find the latest theme.

great points above....and if it's not up in the next 7 minutes..... I will be choosing my own theme for the week......

so there! :naughty:

I think emailing the week's theme has been suggested before - but it makes extra work for Simon, and I'm just grateful he's carried on doing this for a second year. :) I'm not so sure about some of the themes that have popped out of the hat just lately, but that's life.

The 52 is supposed to be fun, and if sometimes we don't get the theme until very late on Sunday - or even Monday - does it make a huge difference? I know lots of people work long hours and have lots of other commitments, but in the grand scheme of life .... Let's keep our perspective, please.

Oh - and Simon - please can we have an easy one this week? ;)

Jean

Sorry, and it may be a toys and prams thing :dummy: , but if someone makes a commitment to do it, then do it....... unless he's stuck somewhere abroad then i'll forgive him....maybe.....

As for the email thing, no no extra work, the TP server should automatically email all subscribers to a thread and it should be able to resticrt posting rights to particular users so no need to get 101 emails saying "wheres the update"

It's a fair comment you've made, Lynton - we should stick to our commitments, but sometimes life happens, and stuff goes wrong. I always think if somebody's kind enough to be doing something voluntarily I should cut them a bit of slack. That's just my personal view! :)

As to emailing - it's been discussed recently. I can't find the thread but recall that it didn't seem to be that straightforward - can anybody else remember the details? :)

Jean

Why not just do what I do and look at the theme Monday morning. Unless the theme is "take a picture at 11.35 and 17 seconds on Sunday night" you've got all week anyway.

Because, I like to look on Sunday night, when it should be up there...........
