Black and white with high contrast, little bit of a vignette, little bit of grain.

Well, that's a bit odd!

Congrats on getting in First Mark. I have subscribed so I will be looking in from time to time.

Ace, this image has a nice feel to it, kind of rustic and textured. Makes me think of a crowded biker gangs bar, find in nicely with there hole "ace of spades" thing. I like it. :)

I don't get it :)

On theme and well composed.

Crit, well if I were being uber critical....just the small white fleck centre right.

Bit the b&w works well.

Welcome back.

Cheers.

It's the little things like that I keep missing, I hope to do better this year.

I like it too, nice lighting on the dice, black and white works well for it. I also like the added grain and vignette. The white speck as Andy mentioned is the only thing that needs changing.

A great start.

Hi Mark, I like it same crit as everyone else as regards the speck and there is also a couple of noticeable scratches, easily cloned out
nice start (y)

Hi Mark....back again for another year of torture I see :D

Quick off the mark as well....crit as per others but a great start none the less....1 down...52 to go (y)

Thanks people :)

I feel it is helping with my photography, just need to get a bit better with my comments and crit.

Great Start Mark, glad to see you in again this year !!!

Has a nice effect to the image, but the bright grain on the RH side is a bit distracting, I want to colour it in with a black pen  obviously that is very picky and the overall image is really nice

Nice, B&W suits it and yep much better without the spot :D

I left the piece of paper in because I think it adds to the processing of the image. I was going for a gritty, dingy kind of thing.

I like that Mark (y) I did wonder what effect cloning the white building out at the end might have. Lines going on for infinity perhaps? :)

I like the texture and gritty feel of the image, I don't like the piece of paper though. I can see why you kept it in but it doesn't work for me. My eyes keep coming back to it and it distracts from the main subject. Good processing though, I find it easy to over do these kinds of image but you've got it spot on.

Like this a lot - particularly the inclusion of the doors to the left, all helping to lead the eye along - and yes, completely agree that the paper helps make the image

Hi Mark, thats a great gritty image, nicely processed, nice to see a bit of colour too (y)

A very nice, grungy and gritty image. I do like those converging lines. Did you give it a go in b/w as well?

Brilliant......What I really like is how this proves that great shots packed full of impact dont need visits to exotic locations to achieve.
My fave part of this is.....EVERYTHING. would'nt change a thing. Feel that the wet conditions really add to the success of this.

The low pov really makes this for me, nice one

Good thinking Mark. Hope you didnt lie in that gutter, an angled screen is very handy for these situations. Great shot, I am with Nick on the paper, I can see why you did it but cant help but look at it.

Still in the gutter, eh ;)

Like it. The low angle is a cracker as is the gritty processing. I'd have removed the paper.

Cheers.

Odd - I really like this. Nice mono conversion and great positioning.
Linear/Line - Nice one as well. Lying in the gutter has really added impact, as has the processing, to this shot.

I took the picture while looking for my mind :naughty::wacky:

I just put the camera on the toe of my foot and let the autofocus take care of it, no flip out screen for me :p

I tried it in b/w and to me it didn't look as good, I also took another without the paper and it looked to have something missing.

Thanks for the comments.

Fantastic POV just not sure if the litter adds to the image or distracts the eye from the line ?
