50d batteries fit the 40d's ?

just bought a 2nd body, it came with 2 batts.

charged both today, as i have a wedding tomorrow, rann both the 40d and my 50d through basic tests to find the 40d batt after 10 mins was half empty.

does its big brothers batts fit ?

Yes - both are compatible with each other... Maybe you have a bad battery? Or wasn't charged fully?
