50 photos I want to create a DVD slideshow with music - help!

I tried the Proshow gold trial, but if memory serves correct it wont allow you to save it without it showing that it is a trial. I looked at a few others which don't allow music, and in the end found that I could do it on the windows media software, which came free as part of the microsoft operating system.

thanks tried Proshow gold trial - but you are right although its fully functional for 15 days it shows a splash screen and stuff....

movie maker looks a good bet - done a video - just need to work out how to put that on a DVD now lol

I use Pro Show Gold 4. Fantastic piece of software.

What about Photoshop Elements 7 trial, I think that creates slideshows.

To follow up...

My solution in the end was:

Windows Movie Maker, allowed me to add a soundtrack too...just then needed to work out how long to make each photo last and each transition last so they pretty much sync'd in length.

Then exported as a high quality AVI file.

Used an old copy of Serif DVD plus to author a basic DVD title page in to which you drop the avi file...very simple and DVD plus even burns the DVD for you too....

:)

Photostory from Microsoft is free & pretty good too.
