looking fwd to reading some reviews on here. Seems like a good price and prossibly a little better quality-wise than those off ebay.

Yes, I thought the same, having bought a 42'' one off Ebay sometime ago the metal ring broke so it will not now collapse

Stuck over Which size to order, thinking either the 22 or 32 inch professional quality versions..

I think you are right Russell I have a 42'' and (I think) it is too big thats why I have gone for the 32'' this time

Ye I think I'll do the same :)

Ordered over last weekend and arrive today. (which is not bad from the Channel Islands) I have the 32'' high quality 5 in 1 reflector.
Made in China (as expected) comes in a storage bag and must say 32'' is just the right size for me to hold with one hand while camera in the other.
High Quality - the white reflector is much brighter than my cheap Ebay one, and the metal support ring around the outside appears thicker than my other one. Also reversible outer cover to gold/white. It folds up easily too (if you have the knack!!)
All in all I'm pleased with it for the price, time will tell whether the support ring breaks as per my existing one.
hope this helps anyone thinking of purchasing one

Thanks for the mini-review Dave, appreciate it

Just ordered the same one as you Dave, hopefully I wont miss it otherwise it will be a trip down to the sorting office ha

These look liek a bargain but I am wondering if a newbie such as myself is just getting more "stuff" for the sake of it. I've browsed google a bit and am not sure if I would use this or not.

Is this used for portrait work only?

I sometimes think the same but yes they are mainly used in portrait and product/food photography I believe.

I guess I could use it as a wind break too, but I think it will just be something else in the cupboard for me at the mokent really.

They are very useful for lots of things.
Portraits,
Macro,
Still life,
Products,
You can use a large one as a background,
if the white is thin enough you can use it as a flash diffuser,
At a push it will work as a frisbee, and the gold/silver parts can be used as an emergency space blanket for a small animal.

Ruddy ell!!
Just come back to this thread and look where its gone!
Glad your all happy with your purchase(s), I am!!

Any more uses for a beauty dish/reflector? :D

A sieve for your beer when it gets a fly in it!

Ordered mine (32" pro) last Friday and it arrived yesterday. Excellent service Very good quality considering the price.
One point to note is that the join in the metal ring is sleeved so it will be very resistant to snapping.

I'll echo exactly what niknouser posted...
