Hi was just wondering how does a 4K video crop on a DSLR sensor produce a video with more pixels and info than when you shoot in 1080p and using all the pixels and the full size of the sensor for instance, the Nikon D500 has a overall 2.2 crop factor when shooting In 4K, But still produces better higher resolution than when shooting in 1080 even though in 1080 there is no crop factor and all the mega pixels and size of the sensor is being used.
