Hey,

Are there any batteries that your not supposed to use in a 420EX? I cant find the manual.

I brought some 1.2v 2500mAH rechargeables last night and they seem so good that i'm not sure they should be in there?!?

Its ready in like 2 seconds and recycles in like 4 seconds...
 
Hi I have a 420ex, not aware of any batteries that shouldn't be used, I use uniross rechargeables, some 2000mah, some 2500 mah, but my prefered batteries are the uniross hybrio (due to slow self discharge when not in use), failling that any regular AA's.

Mmmm cool, maybe ive just been using really terrible batteries previously
 
Rechargables used not to have the power that conventional batteries had. The maximum voltage per cell is still bellow that of a standard Duracell or equivalent, but not enough to worry the flash units. Higher power batteries 1800mAh are now standard with 2700mAh, being readily available. I bough 8 2700mAh AA cells for just £9.00 just after Christmas,
