Calumet stuff is usually well made, but worth a look on the bay as well if you're not looking to spend too much....

All my standard umbrellas are calumet...

if you want cheap rubbish ones to learn with, the dealextreme.com or ebay ones do the trick though...

I like wescott umbrellas, not too pricey but not too flimsy.

Calumet are excellent value - much more so than Westcott.

I bought a 2 in 1 umbrella from them, it is very well made for the money.
