hey guys im a relative newbie so forgive me at the mo i have a 400d but plan on a 7d later this year, i have a 70-200 f4l and take either action or nature shots. The question is i need a lens for close in any ideas i've read about the tamaron 15-50 f2.8 and reviews seem quite reasonable any objections or alternatives?
 
i vote for Tamron. Thats the only lens i probably buy if i can't afford the canon or nikon
 
I've decided on the tamaron and possibly a 50mm f1.8 i hope that is agreeable with you guys or any other options available

Yes seems to be very well rated on here, especially the non VC model.
