400D fault question

My re-con camera arrived today. Has a major fault, every photo i take is just blank white. Pretty sure i'm not being stupid, am I? Send it back tomorrow and buy a brand new one i guess. Just checking. Cheers.

Is this on all settings? Have you tried to reset the camera through the menu? Or taking both batteries out, leaving for 5-10 minutes and the re-inserting them.

and format the card too.

Tried everything except leaving the batteries out for that long, i'm pretty sure the sensor doesn't work, cheers.
