OK guys is there a nack to using these film retrievers cos I'm getting seriously frustrated with the one I've picked up today.
Upto press I've always used the method of wetting some old film, inserting it into the canister, allowing it to take hold of the film leader and hey presto, pull the film out!
I have recently had a couple of films that i've struggled with and had no joy at retrieving the film so decided to pick up one of these purpose made film retrievers but can i get it to do what it's supposed to do.....not a chance.
Is this one of those gadgets that simply sells because it's supposed to work but then in reality it doesn't?
Sorry for the rant but i hate things that don't do what they are designed to do.
