32gb card issue.

Hi.

I've just had a couple of 32gb 266x cards delivered. When I pop them into my camera they work great. But when I take them out and put them into my USB card reader they don't appear on my pc. I have formatted them in my camera but still no joy.

Anybody got any suggestions other than 'send them back' ?

The problem is likely to be the card reader and not the cards themselves. If you've formatted the cards and can take pics with the camera and can see the pics on the camera LCD, it''s not the cards. Depending on how old your card reader is, it may not be compatible with the new cards. Are they SD/SDHC cards or CF?

I presume they're CF cards as you have a 50D. But more information is needed -
Do other cards work with that reader?
Can you see images on the card if you plug the camera into the computer?
If you open the 'Computer' icon on your desktop (assuming Win7) does the reader show up as a disk drive?
Are you looking at the CF cards in Explorer or with Zoombrowser?
Are you expecting a program to open when you insert the cards?
