30D panic over

I was out shooting today and the AF point selection button on my Canon 30D stopped working :eek:. Well panic set in, I could focus multi-point but not select a single point, then I saw I could not change the aperture :eek::eek:.

Looked at all the menu setting and custom functions but to no avail, darn it a new camera or expensive repair, but no it's all working fine again now.





So who turned the mode dial, and what the heck is A-Dep for anyway :lol::lol::lol:

Happened to me this weekend as well...who's been going round changing peoples cameras to A-Dep :bat::bat:
 
Not being funny, but I wouldn't advertise the fact that you don't know how your camera works! ;)
 
LOL I'm sure you weren't the first and certainly not the last :D
 
Just shows how we get stuck in our ways and don't use the other functions as much as we should :lol: Glad to hear it was only Human error ;)

I think I can be excused, seeing that A-Dep is the one function that is used less than the Print button :lol:
 
lol I've had exactly the same sinking feeling making exactly the same mistake :$
