I struggled a bit with this. Loads of bridges around, but I just couldn't seem to get an image I liked.

wewll im glad we have our first entry, now how about some more

I took some snaps with my friends of the new "infinity" bridge in Stockton.

I will get hold of the pics and pop the best one up.

I think more entries will come in during the weekend, as we were unable to post until Thursday Evening. I would have posted sooner, and enjoy re-visiting on a regular basis to see how things progress through the week when you can post for the whole duration.

I'm sure everybody else has their thinking caps on, and their lens caps off

Two bridges from Canary Wharf (though cloudy weather was not quite favorable for scenery shooting today)

Foot bridge

and DLR one

A bridge of a different sort ( I know you specified road, train or pedestrian but I thought I'd chuck this in as I haven't been out much :)) Feel free to discount it.

Guitar Bridge:

I am a bit annoyed about this challenge. Last Sunday I happened to be in Inverness and took a really lovely shot of the Kessock Bridge in Inverness - not a ripple on the water and beautiful reflection. But, it was a few hours before the challenge started!

So, here are my rather poor substitutes from south of the border!

thank you all for entering this week, im having trouble trying to put the pictures in to this post so hopefully you will let me off.

Comfy's picture would have been a contender but for the bleached out sky
Dark Sky is too dammed clever for his own good, I loved the interpretation but i did specify in my remit what i was looking for

Third place goes to Thebigyin although i notice that the pictiure was copied off a slide(was this taken this week?) I like the way it leads upwards and the strong sky
Second place goes to Gvozdi for the second picture DLR as i just find it a striking picture taken from a nice low angle
So first place goes to Jenny for the first picture of the water and bridge, it looks idylic

So hopefully i have not offended anyone and it is over to Jenny for next weeks topic

well done everyone

Totally understand :) and no probs at all :)

Well done to Jenny, Gvodzi and TheBigYin on their well deserved placings !

Cheers for the 3rd place Steve2 - photo was taken on Wednesday and dropped off at labs by my mate, along with the 3 rolls of 120 he'd shot. Collected friday afternoon and I finally got round to scanning them today - I'd defnitely not had them back yet if it'd been on process paid mailer Sensia (and the less said about Kodachrome the better), but with Velvia and a mate's account at a local pro lab, it's easy:D

Oh - and btw DarkStar - i'd spent half a hour cleaning the dust out of my Jackson's Floyd Rose to take a similar idea, when I spotted yours!

Steve2, thanks for the 2nd place :)

jennyb, congratulations! and looking forward to the 22nd challenge !-)

Well done Jenny, on a lovely peaceful image. I love the others of the set as well. I hadn't even thought about doing those bridges, even though they are so close. I did think about photographing the one by Victoria Park when the blue lights are on, but never quite got round to it.

Well done to the others who entered as well. a difficult subject, well handled I think.

Well done all and thanks for the advice Steve :)
