2020 mac memory.

Anyone have a 2020 mac?
If so have you upgraded the ram? I'm not going the apple route as it's just too pricey.
I have found some at my local computer mart (Novatech) that appears to be compatible but am reluctant to risk permanent damage by diving straight in.
