Anyone else been following this.?

Very good coverage on red Bull TV (once Mike Chen has finished talking)

Last round in Argentina- winning margin - after 3 days rallying 0.7 seconds

I won't spoil the result for anyone who wants to watch it but the prospects for a cracking seasons competiton look good.

Wasn't the winning margin 0.1 secs?

I've been following the WRC for most of my adult life, this year is the most exciting competition I remember.

Also really impressed with Breen, Meeke and Evans. Though Meeke needs a kicking atm, he's never had a better chance to show his mettle, and he does remind me too much of his mentor. If in doubt flat out is not the way to win points,

Last year I decided that going to Rally GB was getting like too much hassle, but I can't wait to see these new cars, they look and sound awesome.

Ah another fan.

I have always thought that rally drivers don't get the credit they deserve.

I too have been an almost life long rally fan and still remember the first year I followed the RAC - chose 1986- the last year if the Gp B monsters.

I can still hear the 205T16 popping and banging it's way towards us in Hamsterly forest, it was miles away!!

All shot on film back then

One of my favourite shots not from 86 obviously - not technically good but brings back very happy memories - must have been totally mad!

28mm lens standing at the side of the stage, (a very long straight I might add - look at the steering angle Colin has on!!)

Not so bothered these days, far too much marketing polished PR stuntery going on.

Anyone thinking they don't should watch the in car footage of Ari Vatanen on stage 4 of the Manx rally in 1983. There's this gateway ....

Really disappointed for EE, I've not seen the coverage from Argentina yet, but I'll look to check it when i get back home. Definitely another rally fan in the fold here. I think the cars are heading in the right direction to make the sport regain its popularity again, however, I think the rally's could definitely benefit from a more prolonged format relying on a more endurance based format, rather than the shorter experience. More distance covered, more fans involved, more popularity grows. Perhaps the closed road regulations in th UK could be used to exploit a better format for rally GB over the coming years, rather than just a football crowd of people hemmed into a small area of north Wales??

Citroens body shop bill is through the roof this year.

Anyone else frustrated with Meeke being unable to keep the car on the road?

Congratulations to M-Sport on winning the Teams Championship, Sebastien Ogier Drivers Champion and Elfyn Evans on winning his first WRC event. Malcolm Wilson has every reason to feel proud of such an achievement up against the manufacturer teams.

It'd be nice if Ford recognised hios contribution to their business and put some money on the table again ;)

Seriously - very emotional in Llandudno yesterday afternoon, the first Brit to win since RB and a great day for all the Welsh fans who's singing was fantastic.

They do receive a small contribution but no where near enough to warrant them being a designated works team. I'm hoping that may change for next year at least. M Sport built the cars and ran Ford's World Rallycross team last year and this year with Ken Block and Andreas Bakarrud (sp) . They are sitting that out next year due to some rule changes that Ford have said they want to see how they pan out before committing to further entries. Whilst the cost of W Rx is considerably less than WRC it would as you say be nice to see them back in WRC.

I didn't know they'd pulled the WRX support.
Malcolm has put together a decent business, I'm guessing he never dreamt he could be running a full scale team with no mfr support, but it's quite the operation he's got going. I think Dmack are interesting in putting in more money if they got the tyre deal for the team too.

Bit of a party next door, their son is one of the crew for M Sport, and previously worked for Gwyndaf Evans. Most of Gwynedd is till on a high right now, rallying is very big here, I dare say more so than any other area in isles. As I type this someone's practising on our lane!
