2017: The year I get serious with my photography.

After messing about and just general bumbling with a camera over the past 20 years, I have decided that 2017 will be the year I start getting down to business.

I've done some wedding photography, dabbled at Astro, airshows, and no shows. Portraits, pets, and lights.

I've now got all the equipment I need and most of the equipment I want.

I just wanted to put in writing (to myself) and encourage others who are in a similar position.

NEXT YEAR IS THE YEAR!!!! Good luck everyone :)
 
..but what does "get serious" mean? Do you have specific goals?
 
Not yet, but I will be compiling a list of them, and printing it out so I have a point of reference and a big tick box next to it.

I also have several books to open tomorrow morning to steer me on the way :)

Sounds like a plan - I hope you achieve everthing you would like to :)
 
My plan is to get out and take photographs of the world around me.


Some times, the "Getting out", part seems to be the hardest. Good luck with your plans. Don't forget to HAVE FUN!

PS I would like to think I and possibly others need to take your motivation & plans to heart (in our own individual ways) to find/start our own 2017 plan.
 
I will continue to produce and post very mediocre photos here.
I will however finally begin to do something a bit more more meaningful with the good photos I manage to capture.
 
Good luck to you, this last few months has been hectic for me so I've said the same thing 2017 ill step it up, finally got my car off the road, not fun driving a 4.0l V8 M3 around to take photos, got myself a van off my dad now he's finally retired, deck that out and I can travel about now doing my photography, certainly looking forward to the next year.
