Am I correct or am I wrong...

If people can have an iPod, iPhone, and an iPad sync to the same iTunes Library,

then it stands to reason that you could have two iPad sync to the same iTunes Library?

The reason for asking is because I have a first generation iPad which is working fine, still good to last a few more years, just bit of problems with software, such as two or three websites won't work due to outdated iOS, an app or two no longer work, but otherwise still got miles to go.

I'm thinking of buying a new iPad, so this would have a built-in camera, Facetime, updated browser, and so on.

And I aim to use both of them, I'm not throwing away my 1st gen iPad, like I said, it's in good working order. So I hoped that I can use both.

Yes you can without any problems.(y)

George.

That's great, George, thanks.

But surely there would be tiny bit of problems?

I assumed that some (but not all) of the apps on my old iPad, and in my iTunes Library, may be able to sync to new iPad, but if some of the other apps can't, then I would have to update the app in iTunes Library in order to sync to new iPad?

Which brings the question: Assuming I had to update the app in order to have it on new iPad, would the earlier version of the app be still on the old iPad, while the later version be now iniTunes Library and on new iPad?

No chance of the updated app in the iTunes Library removing the earlier version of the same app from the old iPad, unless I tell it to?

Answer is yes, updated app on new iPad, old version on old iPad. In our house, we have 1 iTunes account with 1 iPad, 3 iPad minis and 4 iPhones on it. 2 of the minis are old and so don't accept new updates to the apps
