Hey,

My brother in law is getting married in June and they are having a themed wedding with guests turning up in 1920-40's dress. No idea what I am wearing yet but it seems that going as a Nazi SS officer is a no no :D

Anyway, they've asked me to do the photos but I thought it would be nice to edit them in a 1920-40's style and look for a old fashioned style wedding album.

Does anyone know of any wedding photos from the era I can look at for inspiration? or any idea on vintage albums? Suggestions on editing really needed too as I can edit out chairs and radiators, put 2 photos together etc but always leave them looking normal. Can't say I've ever edited the style!

Photos taken in the 1940s where either taken in Black and White or in Full Colour.

So do you want an album to look like it would have done in 1940, or an album taken in the 40s and seen now 70 years later faded over time.

Tom's style photos are very very good as usual, but just to show what actual 1940s photos can look like. :)

The images then were formal style shots, and they wouldn't have many in an album, maybe 12 or 20, colour was out and in use then but the majority were black and white with one or two hand coloured. They were mostly shot on medium format with 80mm lens and often square (depending on camera) although not always.
