18-55mm & 55-200mm vs 18-200mm lens

Hi all, just wanted some advise really as im an all round sort of amatuer togger , as the title sugests ive got a 18-55 and 55-200 nikon lens' , im thinking of trying to sell them in exchange for the nikon 18-200mm so i wont have to change lenses as much and have heard great reviews about it to , is this worth doing ???? Also if i did get the 18-200mm would a teleconverter be good to use for any use for motorsport pics or would it make the lens to slow . any help would be great.

p.s im currently in the situation of "hes got a big camera he must be a professional togger he can take any photo" any one else in the same boat ??? :bang:

You won't get better performance from the 18-200 but you gain convenience, it's up to you to decide if that's worth paying £350+ for.

Yes, people think because you have a "big" camera you must take amazing photos. Not always the case
