Hello

Just bought a full frame body and considering getting a 17-40L to replace my Sigma 12-24 purely because of the issues with filters.

Does the 17-40 on a FF body give any problems with the Lee setup? I have a 77mm Wide angle adapter and would be planning to use maybe CPL + Grad.

Cheers Neil

I have a 17-40mm on a 5D mkII - and have found that with cokin filters - the filter holder is visible in the shots at 17mm.

I reckon the widest you'll be able to go when using filters is about 20mm.

I use a 17-40 on a 5D Mark II and I have the Lee filter system. With the WA adapter and a single filter holder for the ND grad you can just about get away with it down to 17mm.

If you intend to use a CPL I suggest you look at alternatives to the Lee CPL. The Heliopan CPL is much slimmer than the Lee. Using the Lee CPL the vignette is noticable even with only the single filter slot.
