16:9 photo on Canon EOS 650

hi guys,

ive just recently bought Canon EOS 650 and am slowly working my way through the manual that came with it.

but thought i would ask a quick question on how to take a 16:9 widescreen photo on it?

i previously had a Panasonic FZ38 and on that all i had to do was go on the menu and select 16:9 and then it would generate a nice widescreen photo.
ive tried changing the aspect ratio on this one to 16:9 but the photo comes out as normal and not widescreen.

can anyone give me a nice simple answer as used to love taking a nice widescreen photo of landscapes on my old camera and hoping i can do the same on this one!

Why not just crop the photo to 16:9 after you have taken it?

That's all selecting 16:9 in your previous camera was doing...

Just load the image then select crop in the left hand bar then in the top boxes it will say something like crop ratio and just select 16:9 I'm not on my laptop at the moment else i'd screen dump you a pic.
