15x10 prints - Is this a weird size?

15x10 is the same ratio as 6x4 - in fact, it IS 6x4 if the 6x4 is inches and the 15x10 is cm! In inches, it's a slightly odd size but is in the "traditional" 35mm film ratio.

Not weird at all! As above, it's the 3:2 proportion of what we call 'full frame', the reference being from 35mm film cameras that has been continued into the digital era. As a result, 15 x 10" is a widely available lab print size.

I cut my own. Have you got a local framing shop?

Fair enough. Then the print cost & the frame, etc - worth it if you want to see your prints on the wall. But maybe less of a sell-on proposition? If it's for yourself, note that if you got fed up with the picture, both mount & frame can be re-used for a different one ...

Cotsworld Mounts do a mount Board to take a 10 by 15 inch photo, but this is a mail order company so there is minimum number for orders.

'Art' paper print £20, mount £8, and frame £35, then, perhaps? - unless you're happy with a frame made of coated mdf with plastic glazing ... there must be cheaper things to do than photography?

Cheers all, it's not for my photography but supplied size of some of my daughters wedding from her photographer. I was just trying to suss out the sizing etc and help her out a bit.

not a weird size but then you are so close to proper A3 or a slightly larger 18x12". Just something to think about
Agreed. It’s just a slight trim from the sides to achieve A3 ratio.

FWIW

It has been some years since I needed mounts & frames but was very happy with the quality & service I got from this company

I started using them when they were called Picture Lizard.

Good quality acid free mount board bevel cut very accurately and clean in the corners i.e. no signs of over cut that I saw on a one extra one I bought locally.
