Good question then, full HD or 4k on a 15" laptop?
Looking at dells inspiron 7000 gaming laptop.

Photo editing with lightroom and web browsing.
That it, no gaming, no watching movies...

4K because very slowly but surely gaming, videos, streaming and others are all going higher resolutions.

You have to remember that it may say 4K screen but you will be able to set it to several resolutions between full hd and 4K.

Can you see it on a 15" screen ? Most say no but I say I can see 2K on my smartphone screen but I might be imagining it.

With money no object then always go for higher resolution, especially for photo editing on a small screen.

However, given your intended use you don't really need the grunt of a gaming laptop (photo editing doesn't really need much power) so if money were an issue I would sacrifice machine power for the better screen

Decided to go for it, click by it now on ebay!

Dell inspiron 7567 with 4k screen.
I probably don't need the GPU to be fair but the i7-7700hq will come handy for creating preview and the like in Lightroom.
Also there is a 512GB M.2 Pcie which from what i have read is limited to sataIII speed.
But that leave space to had one other HD which i already own and can hold all my photos!

At the end i manage to find more money and for 850£ found a "as new" inspiron 15 7000 7567.
It has a 512gb PCI ssd, so there was a free space where i put my 1TB SSD from my previous laptop, all the bits needed where already there apart from four screw to attach the ssd to the bracket.
It has a 4k ips screen which is great, after calibration i get 100% srgb and 78 adobergb.
Very happy with it, only the keyboard i find is disapointing.
