13th Challenge for the day's ahead - running til midday Monday now

Right, I was JUST about to post in the other thread that I was really struggling to find a theme that wasn't gonna make you all wanna rip your hair out and run away.

When all of a sudden it came to me. And that is why this week's challenge is

GREEN​

Trust me, this is the better of any of thoughts that came to me. I think it's rather fitting, what with all this recent sunny weather and with Spring supposedly in full swing!!

SO glad I don't have to participate this week

C+P from previous week's rules etc.
Usual rules apply:
All enties must be new photos, taken within the time frame of the comp.
Maximum of 3 entries per person.
Limited PP, cropping, exposure control, sharpening etc is okay, multi layered cut and pasting is not.
The winner chooses the theme for the following challenge

Entries can be posted from 8pm on Thursday 23rd until 8pm on Sunday25th, with the winner announced later that evening.

I suspect many like myself will wait until the weekend to take their shots. I have a wedding on Saturday so my only chance of taking some images this week will be on Sunday!

oh don't worry, I didn't expect everyone or anyone to be posting tonight. I just have a feeling[like I will too, since I am away Sunday and therefore not able to 'close' the posting] people will forget. Actually, perhaps it's better for me to push this til Monday evening so I can judge it then instead of making everyone wait a day

Actually getting some entries in this time! :bonk:

#1 - When I was a kid I wouldn't touch any food that was green. Now I love 'em. These are to go with some Smoked Haddock tonight, scrummy! Even added some Coriander for dramatic effect.

#2 - Wash Day Greens

#3 - This pretty much sums up my weekend. Typical, nice weather and I have a cold!

I did not get the shot I wanted today. The subject is a bit shy. So this is my third instead. I wonder how many shades of green are in this picture?

Hi Sue. Looks like you have 2 entries in your gallery and one isn't appearing whilst the other is. The difference is the one which does show has a 1 at the end of the file name. The other doesn't. If they are the same photo then you need to edit your link to be as below (with the rest of it as is):
"valeofrheidolsml1.jpg"

Well if the dealine hadn't been extended this would have been the first of these callenges I would have missed since I started taking part (except for the ones I chose the theme for) as the wedding took up much more of my weekend than I had imagined. Good job I've been off work this morning.

It's something about the striking colours in this picture that drew me to it. Very lovely example of all things green

Thought I'd mention the 'railings' picture, that too, much like the peg is something simple, yet striking to me - really catches my eye!
