hi folks

this is probably a stupid question but I am looking to get a couple of photos printed on 12x8 canvas and one of them is causing me problems. the image details are:

Image Size 5184x3456 (so its a 3x2 format)

- I need the full width but the majority of landscape canvas sizes when I search online appear to be something else e.g 16x12, 10x8 etc. Am I missing the obvious or just looking in the wrong places?

I've only really looked at truprint as thats the only place I've had prints done online.

Thanks

Hi Allan,

12 x 8 inches is approx 30 x 20cm. Tesco photo offer that size of Canvas on their website.
Incidentally, we just did a canvas order from them the other day for a Christmas present. good quality for the money.

Pixum and photobox also do 12 x 8 inch canvas prints.

I use Photobox a lot and can recommend them

Hi Stuart,

thanks for the recommendations - I'm going to give Tesco a shot - be daft not to try it at those prices although there is now a 14 day delivery time due to the high demand. I'm getting the canvases for the grandparents for Xmas pressies too.

The one we got was of good quality for the price.
The frame was approx 1-1 1/4 inch thick and rather than a hollow back it came with a solid back and a hook for easy wall hanging.

The colours were nice and vibrant, so overall very happy.

P.S - good to see you have a replacement camera now, hope your getting plenty use out of it!

With a canvas, watch out for their recommendations about wrap. Sometimes if you've detail up to the edge of the image you need to include a border so they have enough to wrap around the frame. I know snapmad like 32mm, but they print a handy size guide in their faq.
