Not with thousand plus days you've had a couple of in the last month clearly :D I've had some proper random days recently on my stats :lol: such as yesterday sixty odd view on a distinctly average and very boring photo of my back garden :cuckoo:

lol...yep had a few of those myself..amazing what gets the views sometimes..Few weeks back had over 4k views in a day.
 
The recent changes to the way flickr organizes the stats means many more views per day now than before. If you tag a picture with the words, "Gold" and someone searches that tag then when there results are displayed it is counted as a view, even though they may not have viewed your image.

I think I have had around 50,000 views this year alone.:rolleyes:

Yeah I've had days like that its when you have a day where literally every photo you've posted gets viewed :eek: I've got some 4,000 and something photos on Flickr but I'm actually in the process of cleaning a lot of them up and changing the status of them to private as to be honest I either hate them these days or there is just too much crap in my stream where I used to say go out and spend an hour shooting trails I'd put up 20 light trails all much the same...not I only put my favourite up from a session......I'll still leave some of the old stuff up as a reminder where I've come from plus its sometime good self dedication to be able to show people look it's a process to learning we all started out shooting rubbish but the more you practice, listen to critique etc the better you get...my biggest regret is not thinking of joining a forum when I first got my camera
 
So a photo tagged with a few well chosen but not necessarily accurate tags could get 'viewed' many times but seen very few?

Exactly, try "Breasts", you would soon get those stats higher.................:lol:

I'm to sure, as far as I was aware a view only counts if the photo is actually view as something other than a thumbnail :thinking: I think Flickr are now counting view if members scroll past photos of their contacts on the home page as is now...but I've certainly noticed an increase of views via search...I wonder if this is just an improvement in tracking as I've also noticed a massive decrease in unknown source view
 
I'm off to tag a few shots with 'celebrity' 'coke' 'tits' and a few other salacious tags, see you soon, Ricardo!
 
I've been a member since feb 2011 - currently just shy of 265000 views.

I remember I was at about 75000 views in August then had 5 consecutive days in explore and it went a bit bonkers

have to agree i put the word "pussy" in a big cat photo it got 1200 hits day 1 and about 36 the next day :lol: i'm currently on 29000 seems pathetic in comparison to some

up photography about 18 months ago, with no experience at all :)

Damn it...i though people looked at my bird pic because the Great Tit looked good......my dreams are in tatters ;)

Just over 100,00 on mine which was pleasing until Richardoforce spoilt the party :lol:... though about 30,000 of those were in 2 days

Has anyone noticed that the "Explore" shots are gradually getting worse, specially compared to 500px "popular". I think quite a few just click the like button on the flick explore page just because the shots are on there and nothing to do with how good they are.

I find it varies. I look everyday, and usually fave 2 or 3 at the most.

Just found out how to view stats on my flickr, turns out I have 97354 views since 2007. I don't link to my photostream from anywhere though, it would maybe higher if I did as my website has had considerably more views than that and it's linked from here and a few other places.
 
Tags are the key to views now.
 
I get 5k-10k/day, but I'm very undertagged. Front Page gets you about 10k, give or take 2 or 3k. Personally I think the tagging system is pretty bad, it lets you cheat the system. Ie say you have a popular macro photo and tag it nude, because it's a popular photo it'd rank high for nude on the most interesting scale. Which I think is kind of dumb. My single most popular photo just hit 210,000 views.
 
no idea on mine these days since i jacked in the pro account ,nearly 300 explores though so it must be quiet high :ty: as i do mainly wildlife ,i find that even a simple shot of a blue tit can be tagged well ,i.e little-tits big-tits tits-in-the-wood and various other configurations ,quiet hilarious sometimes
