100-300mm lens for G2

Hi.........when using the 100-300mm lens is it a bad idea to have it on 2x 4x zoom? or is it best just to leave it on ex.opt.zoom and stay away from the 2x 4x zoom thanks.:shrug:

With a lens that lomg I wouldn't expect to need any extra zoom!

LOL...............its just that i got it the other week and im still in Oz working get home in 2 weeks get to open my new toy......as im new to this thought i would ask but i had a feeling that this would be the answer but you got to ask thanks.
