Just wondering would a Compact Camera that has a 1/1.7 sensor but record video in 720HD, record video quality as good as a Camera with a 1/2.3 sensor but does Full HD 1080p video ?
 
No replies :( maybe I should have stuck this post in Talk Equipment !
 
The optics and the processor will also have an effect on the quality. Also the quality of the sensor will also have an effect on the overall result. So it's not just a question of sensor but of the whole image processing pipeline.
