Morning,

I have a fantastic Benro tripod I use for Landscape photography but am planning a series of evening shoots in London over the next couple of Months that will require a lot of walking and I don’t really want to lug it around everywhere. Minimal kit is definitely my aim.

I would like a small ‘Travel Tripod’. It doesn’t need to extend to any great height really, it just needs to be very portable. I’ve been having a look around and have a little list that I could go for.

Sirui Compact Traveler 5A
Velbon UT-3AR
Rollei compact traveler
Sirui AM-225

These range in price fro around £70 to £140 and I’d like to not get to £140 if possible.

Any other recommendations that I should look at?
Cheers
Nick

What camera and lens will you be using on it?
Edit: And what type head do you prefer?

I have a Rollei compact traveler and it's pretty good, excellent value for money really. Mines the old version with the permanently extended center column.
I don't use one very often so hard to justify spending more, but if I used one often of only look at the Peak Design Carbon.

Thanks Rob. Not looking to spend PD money unfortunately. I do like their stuff, and have a few bits and pieces, but on the whole find them a tad overpriced. I wouldn’t be using this small tripod enough to justify a big outlay. Thanks again for your comments re: Rollei.
