Self noise on the zoom H8 for nature recording.

Hi there, I have a question about the zoom h8. I was just wondering is the self noise is quiet enough for nature recording? I have another field recorder which makes a fuzzy noise sound when I’m trying to record bird sounds. Would this be a decent option? Thanks

Hello, first post on this site. I have been trying to find out about a Japanese Nature/Landscape Photographer who's name was Shinzo Maeda. I own 1 book by him, which I bought at a second hand book shop a couple of years ago. Other than the short Wikipedia entry about him and the odd photo...

    Sing

This little Robin was singing its heart out for us today in Greenwich Park. My hand was only inches away from it as it took some birdie treats from it. I swear as I whistled a little tune it copied back. Probably not intentional, but I like to think it was :)

Cartledge landscapes, YouTube - anyone watch?

Nev Cartledge - Wondered if anyone else is watching this chap? Lots of quirky humour, more misfortune than Thomas Heaton and the landscape images are (in my opinion) really lovely. Not sure I could cope with 11 years in a camper though - the water frozen in the saucepan in less than an hour is...
