Alternative to Capture One for old iPad

I have an old iPad OS v9 circa 2016 that I would like to utilise and tether it to my Canon 90d is possible for studio work. Whilst the iPad is working ok to a point, the OS is beyond updating so don't want at this stage to buy an app if it doesn't work. Just to use it tethered to my 90d would be...
