Hi all
I'm about to embark on holiday to eastern Europe for a few weeks and plan to take my 35mm film camera with me. This will be the first time I am travelling with a somewhat expensive analogue camera. For those in the UK that travel regularly with their analogue camera equipment on holiday...
Pentax have finally taken the cover off of their film camera project. Interesting but I am disappointed it's a half frame.

Taking inspiration from the classic Slide copier I designed a 35mm DSLR scanner thingy. It is still a work in progress though, currently using an old film holder from a cheap scanner.
It's designed for my particular macro lens but no reason it couldn't be adapted for other lenses.
Next step...
So I ordered a 1L bottled of Kodak HC-110 Developer from a UK camera shop that sells through ebay for £45, as a new product. When it arrived I could see no expiry date on the bottle, but there is "2003" indented on the bottom. I'm guessing this is when it was bottled? It's definitely unopened...
Hi all, just looking to see if anyone has had any experiences with original Nikon F 35mm film cameras, and buying from the Japanese ebay marketplace?
I recently purchased a Nikon F from an ebay seller in Japan who had 100% positive feedback, who said the camera I was getting was "near mint" and...
Hi there,
I'm a photo editor employed to work on the archive of an American rock photographer from the 60s and 70s.
My first task is to deal with over 20,000 35mm negatives.
The plan is to scan them all, purely for reference purposes i.e. so we can just see them all. Thus the quality isn't...
Hello!
I've been eager to shoot largely focused on minimalism and ambiguous compositions for quite some time. A 35mm point and shoot would be preferable and I've been eyeing up the Olympus OM10 and Canon AE1 - I know it's entirely an individual choice, and down to perspective.. But, if anyone...

Hi!
I’ve just inherited a Zorki 4K from my great grandfather and I’m a bit of a beginner to this all. I’ve put film in it and gone to wind the film with shutter lever (not sure of its proper name) and it winds without a final click if that makes sense. The exposure count goes up by one and the...
Good day fellow internet people,
I was gifted a Nikon FM2 along with two lenses (Nikon 50mm f/1.4 AI and Nikon 35mm f/2 AI-S) for Christmas from my Ex. Have been hooked on photography since.
I’m a fan of Fan Ho, Brassaï and Sebastian Salgado. That rich contrast and vivid detail look. Please...

I am new here a d I would like to have an advice regarding which vintage 35mm camera to buy for my carl zeiss jena flektogon 35mm 2.4 lens

Hi
I need an advice regarding projectors.
I was always impressed by the quality, sharpness and colours of an image displayed using a traditional projector with 35mm slides / transparencies. Images projected look absolutely incredible.
However, 35mm slides are very expensive, in the region of £2...
Hi! Does anyone knwo where I could get my 35mm film developed and preinted to a resenoble price in southwest or southnorth London? Thankful for your responses! :)
Hello,
I wonder if anyone can help me as I am a beginner on film.
I am using a Canon A1 with a 35-70mm lens and have just bought some Kodak Portra 400.
I will be shooting indoors in a well lit room with neon lights. I have set my ISO to 400 to match the film but does anyone know what the...
Hi,
I'm a Sony A7 user and have use 16-35mm lens.
I want another, smaller, faster lens for more 'general use' - today I found a Currys with the FE 50mm 1.8 for £179.99 which is a decent price, however I am still put off buying what is effectively a 'nifty fifty' for double the price of other...
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has bought one of these and your initial thoughts on it? And any comparison against the Sony version if you may have had both.
Reviews seem decent so far but real testing is lacking slightly IMO.
In two minds as to whether to pay the £275 for this or fork out an...
Hi all
Not so long ago I purchased a Canon AV-1 off of eBay, it sat on my shelf for a while - but recently I've started to use it with Fujifilm Superia 400. Now I've run out of that and I'd like to try some different film, so I thought I'd try Ilford HP5+ 400asa (B&W). However, the Amazon...
Hello all,
I'm looking for people with undeveloped rolls of film that have been shot for a potential television programme (UK based).
Have a rummage in the cellar/loft and see what you might stumble upon!
Participants will have undeveloped rolls of film. They may or may not remember what...

Hi everyone
So I am getting a D90 next week secondhand for what I think is a good price. I want a body with an inbuilt focus motor so I can use older AFD lenses on it. It saves money. I do mostly portrait work but also some street photography. Is anybody still using the D90? I saw some pictures...
Please can you assist me in finding the suitable adapted for my lens, I'm having difficulties.
I recently purchased an Auto Tamron 35mm f/1:2.8 lens (please find attached pictures), and I have a Nikon D3300.
I bought the wrong adapter and I got told that "the lens looks like modified or...
Hi!
I'm aware this question has probably been asked an absolute TON of times but I just wanted a direct answer instead of having to read through loads of threads and not actually finding what I need so, here I am.
I was given a film camera with no knowledge of how to use it etc. (I've got the...
Hi all, firstly I am a newbie to Film Photography. I picked up an Olympus OM1 with a 50mm lens, I shot a roll of expired Fuji 200 + new Fuji 400 and left both in to my local shop to be developed with surprising outcomes.
Roll 1 - EXPIRED 2012 Fuji 200: Contrast a bit of but generally not to bad...
So I have recently discovered that pound lands 35mm colour film has been discontinued and as a student photographer, I was heartbroken as i used this on the cheap to develop my skills. Can anybody suggest a cheap option for film that isn't going to set me back too much?
