Does anyone here run or know of anyone that runs motorsport photography workshops. I found these guys online but would prefer a personal recommendation from a group member. Ideally someone who runs workshops at Thruxton as that's my nearest track.

What is it that you want to achieve by attending a workshop. My advice would be to go to the circuit, have a wander around, and talk to other photographers.

Or maybe one of our resident genre fans would like to meet up at Thruxton to share tips?

I was wondering if these workshops give improved access. I have shot British Touring Cars at Thruxton as a spectator.

I believe some of their workshops (mostly overseas) give you media (trackside) access, but the UK based BTCC, GT Cup and World SBK ones seem to be spectator side only. What they offer are a portfoilio review, training sessions, advice on where to take photos from, review and editing sessions and hospitality. It seems like they will also publish some of your photos in Pit Stop Magazine (with the VIP package), which claims to be a leading motorsport magazine but I've never heard of anyone talking about it. This could possibly help with getting accreditation in the future as you would have published articles within the previous 12 months.

I have never done one but from what i've seen people do enjoy the trackside focus courses.
