Yes
I have a Panasonic Lumix S5 with the Lumix S 20-60mm F3.5-5.6 lens.

I mostly take Landscape photos with the odd wildlife shot and the even rarer portrait photo.

I've been looking at the Panasonic 70-300 F4.5-5.6 Macro OIS lens.

Would this be a lens worth looking at given my current interests.

Absolutely, a great focal length and popular for a reason. You may find 300mm a bit short for wildlife though. The next steps up would be the Sigma 100-400 or 150-600.

I have this lens used on the S5 too and it's a fantastic piece of glass. It's so sharp throughout the zoom range and from wide open. It's a bit on the heavy side (if that's a factor, it doesn't bother me) and I love it! I'm predominantly a land and seascape shooter.

Brilliant!! That’s just want I wanted to hear!! Thanks :)

Bit late to the party, but also new to the forum.

This is my favourite lens. I use it more than any of the others. Not too heavy or big for walking around imo, but has enough range for 90% of the pictures I usually take. What I tend to do is use the 70-300 on my camera, and then if I need something a bit shorter or wide angle I use my phone so that I don't have to carry other lenses or mess about swapping them.

I keep toying with getting the 60-600 Sigma, but the size puts me off.

I've just pre-ordered the new Lumix S 100-500. I fancied the Sigma 150-600 but the size of that beast put me off too.

Yeah, I like the look of it but waiting to see some reviews/real world use.

Thanks for the info!!

I have this lens arriving tomorrow, with a bit of luck! I want a case with shoulder strap for the camera (S5II) with the lens attached, if anyone can recommend one that's a good fit?
