A thread for comments or advice related to the images in the challenge thread.
If you don't like the concept or thread subject matter then that is fine, do not post.
If you find it particularly offensive to your sensibilities then do not look either.

Wayne, it may be worth adding links to each of the thread starting posts so people can quickly link back and forth between image and chat threads.

erm that stops me with "Must be shot and developed in the current month." as it can take up to 6 months for me to get through a roll of colour film o_O

I have to agree with Brian (rare I know  ) I applaud your drive to get people out shooting but placing restrictions such as "Must be shot and developed in the current month." is just going to restrict you participation count. Try and keep it as flexible and open as possible (y)

Hello Gav,

Thanks for the advice!

How do you do that?

You better pull your finger out then Brian and get stuck in, :)

I can shoot a roll in a one hour dog walk, Ha Ha.

I read something dont know where or how long ago but its always resonated with me.

" You have to shoot your film like it's free!"

Have you still got that bulk loader?

Thanks for your comments and advice Nick, apathy rears its ugly head in many walks of life, not limited to photography. It's the easy option to "talk photography" but getting out there and doing it is the thing that will encourage, unless I am misguided, the next generation of film photography fans into something more than just their phone or Polaroids.

I sincerely hope that It doesn't restrict you Nick. (y)

Those who happen to use large format are at an advantage as they can just shoot one image and develop it straight away.

That will soon be me, hopefully. :)

As well as the time issues that will put many off the theme of Flowers in January isn't exactly seasonal.

Two people have managed so far Clive, If your not upto the challenge then that's fine.

I can come up with lots of excuses for not doing lots of things.

Like the two other posters who have already commented I don't go through a roll of film every month. That will preclude other people from entering too. But, you could increase the chances of people participating if you had made it easier and had chosen a subject that is seasonal. That is how most photographic competitions are arranged.

But, you seem hell bent on squeezing a lifetime's photographic experience into three months so I'll leave you to it.

That's a shame, I was really looking forward to viewing your interpretations. You take some great photo's and I could have learned a lot.

I'd be surprised if you see any colour shots, I suppose I could start using the buk loader again after 15 years but have to gen up on what to use now. My favourite dev in the old days was "Unitol" .......who remembers that one?.
