steve
thanks for the side-by-side... very useful
the xcsource is looking pretty close to the no-filter image... though they all seem to have their strengths and weaknesses... and varying colour casts
thanks for the filter reminder... i did read that they were required
the more info i get from this fab forum... and the more i research it on the web.... the more exciting / tangible it becomes.... though... finding the film... and at a decent price... might be the big ask
all too true..... proof in the pudding
time to source a film camera... film... and theme / subject
huge thanks again one and all for your help
yukioMishima
just read thru the article... and looked at the images... i must say... i prefer the look of the c41 processing... but.. some of the e6 images also look pretty cool
choices choices... but as you say.... give both a shot and see which ones looks best "in the flesh"
huge thanks again
awesome... shall do.. thanks
i use to enjoy my time in the darkroom..... seems like forever ago!!
can the aerochrome be processed at a "normal" film processing place... or does it need to be done by a specialist?
thanks again one & all
yukioMishima
wow... HUGE thanks for all of your replies... really appreciate it
i will go thru them one by one and do a little associated research
my lenses are pretty much as old as the d70s.... so i am not holding out much hope that they will compliment a new FF body
more to follow once i have...
awesome stuff...thanks for the linky
as i don't have a film camera anymore... wanted to play around with a couple of images i took recently to try out the aerochrome look on them
might be time to invest in a film camera.. and some film
thanks again
true... depending upon exact year / model (fabs did mention it was from 6 years ago)... replacing the HDD with an SSD can be a huge PITA
i was referring to swapping / upgrading the ram.... which is what i thought fabs was referring to
all sort of guides for the iMac here...
probably south of £1000.... i guess that rules out a fair bit
if the right sort of camera presented itself... could posibly stretch to £1500
from what i have seen... from the last few hours of poking around.... it seems that there are some good cameras in the hi-end point & shoot /...
sounds ominous... i guess no such thing exists then
from what i have seen... most full-frames do seem pretty expensive :(
maybe an alternative is in order
i primarily shoot urban / architecture..... if that makes any difference
thanks in advance
yukioMishima
just been doing a little more research and found these 2 alternatives:
- Sony Cyber-shot RX100 III
- Panasonic's Lumix DMC-LX100
anyone have any thoughts / experiences
thanks in advance
