    Official Talk Leica thread

I agree with Photopaque: It's just something that calls to some people and not to others I bought an M240 eighteen months ago, and never regretted it. Yes, I can buy a Canon for a fraction of the price (I have a 5dII) and the Canon can and will produce a beautiful image. However my Leica also...

Fine Art Trade Guild Approved Printer....

Have used Paul several times, in fact got a couple of prints today. Brilliant printing and Paul always updates me on how things are going. I've used Loxley and others but Paul's printing seems to be cheaper & better.

Capture One Editing Software...........Anyone use it?

With the probable demise of Aperture, and my inability to get to grips with Lightroom, I'm trying to research alternatives. I've used Aperture for many years and like it. But things change, things move on. I may be the one and only who doesn't really get on with Lightroom; so does anyone use...

    First week with mirrorless

I had an EOS 7d & 5dII. With all the lenses. Bought mirror-less earlier in the year and love it. The 7d has now gone. I've been seriously considering why I need the 5d, lenses and tripods etc.. I think I've used the 5d once since I purchased the smaller camera. I think my 'photos are better...

    Well Hung - Print Products

I've used other well known printers before, but came across Well Hung, via their banner on this site. I sent off nine images for printing. I spoke with Nawfal on the 'phone to try and change the print size. He was more than helpful, made suggestions and gave me ideas. The prints arrived today...

What New Gear Have You Purchased This Week?

This wasn't a Christmas present, but I bought it myself earlier in the week. I'm just about to retire after a long service with the same employer, I've always aspired to have a Leica and now I'm very lucky, but very poor. Very Happy Days!!! IMG_1140 by Paul R Whitehead, on Flickr

    Oxford Giclee........any opinions???

Wow, I didn't want to start a war!!!!!!! Dan, Thanks for the response, I'll get myself sorted shortly and send a couple of images over. Poah, thanks for your input, personally, I'm quite happy with the paper selection, if I were printing for myself, which obviously considering the cost...

    Oxford Giclee........any opinions???

Up to date I've used Loxley as my printers and found them to be very good. However I've always found their Roes software to be a pain, and now its crashed it won't re load on my Mac. So, I've spent the evening looking around and found Oxford Giclee. They appear to do what I need, at a good...

    Any runners out there?

Cambsno.....how did the run go today? Any re occurrence of the blisters? Thinking about it today, it may not have been the shoes or socks, just your feet getting used to something that they find quite alien!!!!!!!

    Any runners out there?

I do quite a bit of running.......couple of marathons and several halves this year. Its great to hear that you're taking up such a wonderful sport. Rather like Mickledore, I'm interested to know what the 'protection' is? Or have you been fitted with risers under your heel to prevent pronation...
