firefox 26 running ok on my pc. Firefox still better than chrome for me. Chrome is faster is some aspects but overall firefox better. and moreover google is behind chrome and over your shoulder.:|

Photoshop requires good amount of RAM both on card and mobo. 4gb is alright but also depends what kind of projects she runs. It will run surely with windows 8.1, but could be bit slower when you do excessive work.

It will be alright with the system you have, windows 8 or 8.1 will run without any issues. Gfx card is capable to handle the OS and so does other HW. If you can just add one SSD to boost up all would be better... just a suggestion.
