Watch straps... what's the current favs?

The straptailor.com does some nice single pass nato style adjustable nylon straps. Watchgecko do some reasonable nato style and elastics nylon straps which are really comfy. Or if you’re feeling extravagant, there’s erikasoriginals.com

Sounds a bit like my interceptor in some ways, I’m made up with it for my riding though. I can do 300 miles with a few stops but motorways aren’t comfy over 60mph and the seat is very uncomfortable after 50 miles. And I have the supposedly more comfy touring seat I have recommendations for...

Cardo Bluetooth intercom. Biltwell torker grips, a bit slimmer than the recoil grips I put on to get rid of the horrible std ones.

Motor on the interceptor is smooth, gearbox is slick but you’d notice the lower power. Forks and rear shocks seem to vary by Owner; mine feel stiff and other owners say too soft. Handling very neutral and likes corners. I wanted something to plod along on, this may not be the right bike for that

A mate and I went to motorcycle live yesterday. Thought the show was good; I wanted to check out the new Enfield super meteor and the BSA gold star and possibly pick up a couple of bits. I liked the super meteor but think Enfield may put the price too high after chatting to a guy from my local...

Horseshoe pass today. Time to put the liner back in my jacket, methinks. That’s wax cotton for you though; too hot in summer and too cold in winter

Also from yesterday, a more modern Enfield I’d called in my local dealership and came out with an unexpected purchase of an open face lid. Not the best idea before a ride with no luggage capacity!

My next door neighbours son is a bike mechanic of many years experience. He worked on guzzi and wasn’t impressed. A lot of work to pdi, and slow to get parts. He had one new bike came in missing a head gasket. Said Aprillia was a nightmare too. I had an Enfield 350 meteor; lovely bike to ride...

Bought some today and used it neat on the wheel and swingarm. Agitated with a soft brush it shifted the chain lube no problems. Cheers Simon! An old mate who has sadly passed on had a square four in his collection that he was restoring but didn’t finish it. Lovely bikes.

I’ve swapped from the meteor to the interceptor and so now have spoked wheels. I’d forgotten what a joy they are to clean:(
