    Tamron Lens Warranty

Hi I'm sure I read somewhere that Tamron offered a 5 year warranty on their lenses. Does anyone know if that is right because in the one I just bought (Sony fit 18-200mm) and the warranty card only says 1 year. Any one know about the 5 year warranty offer?

Calling all Sony Alpha users! (Part 5)

Hi Looking for some help! I'm thinking about buying the Tamron 70-300mm. Heard good things about it....and it's cheap! Any one got any thoughts on IQ etc and what the focus speed is like? I've got the A33 so hoping that the 7fps will work nicely with it. Thanks in advance for any...

    Simplyelectronics

I normally use Park Cameras, Devon Cameras or Amazon. Had good service from them all (and they're in the UK! ;))

    Morris Photographic

I had the same experience with 'Camera World' (www.cameraworld.co.uk). First time I used then the item came within a couple of days but I then ordered a lens from them - the website said in stock but when it didn't show I called them and was told it was out of stock due to the Japanese...

How to shoot black and white UPDATE

I always shoot in colour then convert to B&W afterwards. As the camera doesn't know how to cope with black or white as they aren't 'colours', if you use a B&W setting what you tend to get is lots of grey!

    Hi everyone

Hello :) Don't worry, mine hasn't been out of auto for long either. These forums are a great place to learn/pick up tips though.

    Ever felt sorry for someone.

Still come up quite a lot, my mum & dad live in Longhoughton. Nothing beats the Northumbrian scenery for photography :)

    Ever felt sorry for someone.

I hope he has camera insurance, but he may be able to claim for any accidental damage on his gear on his house insurance in any case. Oh and by the way - I'm from Alnwick too :)

    cameras in cold weather.

Great idea and so simple! I'll get some silica gel packs to take skiing this January. Can't wait to try out the panorama setting on the A33 in the Alps :)

    New bag advice

It's not a shoulder bag but I use the lowepro flipside 200 backpack which holds my A33 with 18-200 attached, 18-55mm & 28mm prime + other bits n' bobs. They do a larger size, think it's the flipside 400 which might suit your needs.
